Giving to others brings a tangible joy that connects us. A personal connection that matters.

How satisfying it is to be a part of meeting these needs. Do one of these programs speak to you about becoming involved?

volunteers workingCare & Share food pantry provides food assistance to both individuals and families, regardless of income or employment status. We offer a variety of nutritious foods which help to close the gap during the times when our neighbors are facing food shortages.

In order to meet the needs of as many in our community as possible, our food pantry distributions are limited to once per family every 30 days. Please have your Second Harvest Food Bank (SHFB) food pantry card with you at each visit. To receive a SHFB card, please have picture ID for all adults in the household and address verification for all members of the household.

Our distribution hours are as follows:

  • Tuesday, from 9AM to 12PM,
  • Wednesday, from 4PM to 6PM, and
  • Thursday, from 9AM to 12PM

We are able to provide food assistance to many in the local area, thanks to our partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, Food Lion, Harris Teeter, Hunter Farms, and Lowe's Foods, just to name a few. Local food drives through Forsyth County schools and other private individuals are also a source of food acquisition.

Donations are graciously accepted. Most commonly needed items include: cereal, peanut butter & jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, bagged or boxed pasta or beans, as well as canned meats and fish. For more information call Joseph at 336-744-4004.

Founded in May 2005 by local resident Phyllis Bonds, Outreach Alliance for Babies Inc. is a grassroots 501(c)(3) public non-profit organization with a mission of supporting the community’s commitment to decrease infant
mortality and promote child development and safety. This is accomplished by providing layette bags which include a Safe Sleep Kit and other necessities.

A part of the Dream Center since 2015, Outreach Alliance for Babies works with community agencies in Forsyth County that have identified clients with "significant financial" needs which prevent them from purchasing needed items for their child. The client may either be in the last trimester of pregnancy or have an infant from newborn to three months of age.

A typical layette consists of a tote bag stocked with diapers, diaper wipes, wash cloths, baby wash, baby lotion, sleep and play sets, onesies, bibs, receiving blankets, etc.

Financial donations or donations of new merchandise are always accepted in
support of this initiative.

Established in 2018, Family Life Counseling is a 501c3 organization offering individual and family counseling as well as substance abuse counseling to the community.

Beginning May 11, 2021, Celebrate Recovery classes will be offered every Tuesday evening from 6pm to 9pm.

We also offer pre-marriage and marriage assessments through a program called Symbis and follow-up counseling as well.
